Aspen Music Festival

Hunter Creek - Aspen

Had the usual great time in Aspen. Enjoyed performing with conductor Robert Spano and so many talented young musicians (including UNC doctoral saxophone student Nathaniel Berman and UNC graduate clarinet student Luci Disano) and hearing pianists Inon Barnatan, Conrad Tao, and Marc-Andre Hamelin up close and personal playing Gershwin's music.  Also enjoyed meeting, playing, and hanging with the new Aspen Music Festival saxophone fellow Zach Shemon from the Prism Quartet, who incidentally is from my hometown of Plymouth, Michigan and a fellow alumni of Plymouth-Canton High School! Aspen is definitely one of my favorite places on the planet for the festival, town, natural beauty, and friendly atmosphere.
